Carefully Sourced Leather

Sourced in Scotland and Spain, all our leathers are by-products of the meat industry, that would otherwise go to landfill. Leather is a natural material that's been used for millennia, and is an alternative to synthetic materials produced by fossil fuels.

We're proud to work with a supplier who has not only has a Gold Award from the Leather Working Group, for good ethical, environmental and safety practice for in the processing of hides. But is also selected one of five companies to be part of the GREEN L.I.F.E. project (Green Leather Industry for the Environment), financed by the European Commission. Green L.I.F.E’s primary goal is to reduce the environmental impact of the tannery.

Unlike synthetic materials, properly cared for leather can last for years. When and if the time comes for the handbag to reach the end of it's cycle, the leather is biodegradable.
