I am so excited to release our latest series #FriendsofCEstars, where I sit down with my friends in their homes, discussing their journeys in creating their own light through the darkness.
Fi Grayson was working in corporate events job. Flying over the world to host events alongside a well-paid salary for her age, from the outside it would appear that Fi had ‘made it’, when in actual fact she couldn’t have felt further away from her purpose.
She was walking up to Harvard University one day, hosting an event for the company she worked for, when she had her moment of lift. After encouragement from her sister, she quit her job the following Monday, with an idea to create a useful resource for women who had ‘done their own thing’. She Can She Did was born.
A website filled with female-founders, who share the nitty-gritty realities of creating their companies, it is a true breath of fresh air and a realisation that it is possible, it is hard, and it is important that we stick together in our unique journeys. As the site grew, Fi opened up ‘Midweek Mingles’, a wonderful chance to create her community through hosting a panel of the female founders and an opportunity to create a space for women to connect, support and empower one another.
Fi showed how ‘on the line’ going after her dream was, how going after her vision was a matter of all or nothing and how the most important thing to survive is resilience. Fi’s journey is one of complete inspiration and I hope you can take away lots of her wisdom.
